IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE LIGHTHOUSE RESPONSE TO COVID-19
Dearest brethren, we know you have a lot of questions about how Lighthouse will move forward in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope this will answer some of those for you.
For the health and safety of you and our neighbors, for the next several weeks we are moving our Sunday and weekly gatherings to an on-line venue. Campus will be closed.
Let us remind ourselves what we already know – the Church is not a building, a commercial enterprise, nor a place we visit on a weekend. We the people are the Church – the body of Christ, the bride of Christ, the children of God. In case you missed that – the Church is not closing, we are simply changing our method of meeting together. Forever live the Church! Hell cannot stop it, and neither can a virus.
WHAT’S GOD SAYING & DOING?
With every catastrophe comes a Divine opportunity to expand His Kingdom (heaven) on earth. History proves that. One would have thought that the brutal merciless persecution against the first church would have stopped it cold in its tracks. What happened? The Church grew in number and in geographic reach. It got bigger, better and blessed. And so will we.
- IT’S TIME TO CONNECT LIKE CRAZY
Connect with each other like you’ve never connected before. Connect by phone, text, email, whatsapp, skype, cans on a string, small safe-distance huddles. You get the point. Connect. Check in with those inside and outside your sphere. Pray and ask God to direct you.
- IT’S TIME TO PRAY LIKE CRAZY
We are asking everyone to be on-board praying – every single believer that is a part of Lighthouse. Ask God to reveal Himself. Pray for each other. Ask Him to increase our faith, rescue our family, friends and neighbors. Pray for greater faith, better understanding of Him and His ways. Open our eyes.
Prayer sessions will be set up on-line that you will dial into by phone or online. Stay tuned for details.
DON’T RETREAT. CHARGE!
It’s not time to retreat. It’s time to charge ahead. Call someone you never call. Pray with someone you never pray with. Pray with your family. Do bible readings with someone over the phone, or on-line, skype, whatsapp, zoom, through your window…
Consider asking your fellow brethren and neighbors if they need anything. Offer up a roll of your precious TP and a squirt of anti-bacterial. Buy local. Tip big. Give a few bucks to the restaurant server in the apartment down from yours. Ask if you can pray for them. Don’t retreat. Charge!

What if God is using an unprecedented event to start an unprecedented movement? Think about that and then let’s do something together empowered by the Holy Spirit.
As you consider your future – your income, investments, the uncertainty of it all, please consume these words spoken by God through His messenger:
Nahum 1:7 (NLT)
7 The Lord is good,
a strong refuge when trouble comes.
He is close to those who trust in him.
Let us all be still and know that He is God.
For His glory,
