IT’S NORMAL TO BE NERVOUS
Those attending a church for the first time are understandably anxious for a few reasons: general social
anxiety; fear of the unknown; bad perceptions of church life and church people; and perhaps bad past
church experiences.
While there is no room for compromise on core spiritual convictions, we strive to remove all the man-
made barriers that stand between people seeking to engage or re-engage with their God and endeavor
to make you feel as at-home as possible.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Please dress in whatever makes you comfortable. We lean toward casual and most of our folks wear
jeans or casual slacks. Very few wear sportscoats, dresses, skirts, and suits. Our only appeal is that you
dress modestly – no short shorts, tank tops or excessive exposed cleavage.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We worship in contemporary fashion so you don’t have to know any special prayers, there are no creeds
to recite, no hymnals, no kneeling, and no responsive reading. We open with singing for approximately
15 minutes, followed by announcements and then a message from the pastor. We close with a song. On
the last Sunday of each month, we serve Communion (The Lord’s Supper).
Over 50% of our people hang around afterward to chat. You’ll find us a warm
friendly inclusive family. Please feel free to join us.
The service will last for approximately 1 hour.
